The Rein(ner)vention of Nicole

The lights are two sets of floodlights on the roof of a parking garage by the entrance to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, a few blocks south of Ground Zero. They’ve been placed there for the last couple of years. Funding for the annual memorial is only established through 2008. 

It turns out I am travelling to NY on September 11th. I hope NY will put these up this year. This is truly a beautiful sight to see and symbol of tranquility. To me it provides healing and hope. Absolutely breath-taking!
